When we were learning about Games Market, we obviously had to see how much appeal Soundtracks and Images have to raise interest in our creations. So we were assigned to create character illustrations that we could animate and compose a fitting music to them. 

I wanted to create a tale based on Tarot. More specifically „the Major Arcana“, also known as „The Fools Journey“. The light witch is the protagonist and posing as the upright „Fool“, whilst the distorted dark Witch represents her reversed mirror. 

I added the tower as environment, since „the Tower“ in the Major Arcana is posed as the biggest obstacle after being lured in by „the Devil“, who is our Antagonist. 

„The Devil“ will trigger a desire within „the Fool“ at one point in the story, leading her to the „Tower“, where she meets her reversed self. Needing to escape from the looming building, she will be haunted by her desire for the dark and twisted and her reversed image will harden „the Fools“ escape, trying to stop their journey, while „The Star“ outside of the window will encourage her to keep going.
